
School is almost here, and we will be honoring our high school students at Meet the Indians on Friday @ 6:30. We will not be able to include our Jr. High students this year due to COVID. We look forward to honoring these students.
This year will be different than any other year before due to COVID-19. Please be understanding as we share the new regulations. We must follow state guidelines in an attempt to keep everyone safe.
If you want to join us, please see the guidelines below.
-The stadium can only be at 50% capacity.
-Everyone must self screen. You will be asked if you have any of the following symptoms. If you are positive for these symptoms you will not be allowed to come into the stadium.
-Fever of 100.0 degrees or more
-Loss of taste or smell
-Cough
-Difficulty breathing
-Shortness of breath
-Headache
-Chills
-Sore throat
-Shaking or exaggerated shivering
-Significant muscle pain or ache
- Diarrhea
-Social Distancing will be required.
Families can sit by each other, but they must remain 6 feet apart from non-family members
-Everyone must wear a mask or shield.
-Jr. high and elementary students will need to remain with their families.

2020 Yearbooks are here! Available in the High School Library. Cost is $30. Limited quantity available.

Morton Elementary parents who have chosen online learning, we will have a meeting on Thursday at 5pm in the Cafeteria where we will review and sign the online learning compact. Please wear your mask and bring your own pen. If you have any questions, please call the school.

This was our 2nd year to award Marching Show Shirts to students with high attendance at summer band. Last year, 5 students earned a shirt....THIS YEAR, 11 students will receive a free shirt. Congratulations on all your hard work! Let's build this Band.

UPDATE: UIL has made another change for cross country.
High School boys and girls cross country practice will start August 17 @ 7:00 am. Athletes need to report to the front of HS gym. Practice will begin promptly at 7:00 am, please do not be late!

Parents and guardians of high school and junior high students, please take time to stop by the high school front office Thursday afternoon and/or all day Friday to pick up registration packets.
Packets need to be completed and returned to the high school office by Friday afternoon August 7th before 4 o’clock.

Elena Alvarado MHS FCCLA Chapter President and recently elected region 1 vice president of projects just finished a week of virtual officer camp. Officers planned the regional and stare conferences to be held in the spring. True example of a student led organization. Way to go Elena!


This message is for High School seniors who want to apply for scholarships. The deadline for this scholarship is already coming close. The Horatio Alger Association offers one of the largest need-based college scholarship programs in the country. The Horatio Alger Scholarship Programs specifically assist high school students who've faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. While many programs are primarily focused on recognizing academic achievement or leadership potential, they seek students who have exhibited determination, integrity, and perseverance in overcoming adversity, as well as have critical financial need.
The application period for high school seniors pursuing bachelor's degree programs ends October 25. The application for career and technical education is open until August 15; this is for students pursuing associate degrees or technical certifications.

Morton junior high and high school parents may pick up packets for registration at the high school office on Tuesday August 4 and Wednesday August 5. Packets need to be completed and returned by August 7 which is Friday. Office hours are 8 AM to 4 PM.

Elementary registration is this week. Pick up you packets at the elementary school and bring them back before Friday. New enrollees will need additional documents. Pk and K round up is Aug 6th (PK must register online as well-- see FB or website for link.)


9-12 football practice starts today at 7:30pm, that means we will be on the field at 7:30pm. Make sure you bring your mask, as well as a great attitude and effort. Indian Pride!!
